Nice location in the Patch area of St Louis. The diner is beautifully decorated on the inside and very family friendly. Servers were nice and accommodating with coffee refills. I had the BBB which is biscuits and gravy with sausage, eggs, and potatoes. My wife had the Saturday special of strawberry pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage. Our friend had the French toast with hash brown casserole. All the dishes were perfect. Will definitely be going back. A great find for brunch or lunch.

Most excellent flavored and prepared americana style food I've had ever. Specifically, the pork tenderloin sandwich, and the chili Mac both are uncomplicated dishes, both are generous portion, cheap price, excellently seasoned, quintessentially, prepared just the way you remember it, folks the nail has been hit on the head! You can't miss out here, everything is exquisite, simple, tasty, and just what you thought it would be ! One of my all-time favorites!

This place is a gem. We were looking some solid diner food this morning and we weren't disappointed. The outside of the place may deter you but please give it a chance! We walked in and you immediately feel comfort. The place was packed, so we sat at the bar. Even though they were busy, the servers were amazing with communication and prioritization. You can tell that it wasn't their first rodeo. There was a table of at least 12 people among the packed restaurant that ordered around the same time we did and we still got our food in a timely manner. Our coffee stay hot and filled. Overall this place is going to be visited by us again. I'd post photos but we are them so quickly, forgetting to capture one in time.

It's one of our favorite places for breakfast. Always good food and service. Very cozy inside but not so crowded that you bump the table next to you. When it is just the two of us, we like to sit at the bar in front of the TV. Today, we enjoyed a vintage Price is Right show. Daily specials change frequently. We both ordered today's special and were not disappointed. Very tasty, very filling. Bonus, we have leftovers for later :)

First off, do not be put off by the neighborhood or the exterior of this place. The interior is small but clean, the service is excellent, the breakfast and pricing are great; the portions are very generous. Eat late enough in the morning you may not need supper. We've had the Biscuits and Gravy, the traditional breakfast, eggs and meat etc., the pancakes and the slinger. Hidden gem, you can get the slinger prepared with two tamales instead of the hamburger patty. I think they charge an extra $1 or such, but if you like tamales, totally worth it. No regrets...

Great diner food, and wonderful people! Yes, the food takes a while, but enjoy the people and the place. Yes, the area is a little sketchy, but it's fine I promise! No, there's aren't very many seats so you may have your wait for seating, it is worth it! Sitting at the bar is fine too!

I visit Riverside Diner almost every weekend for breakfast, and I feel it's important to share another positive review. As a type 2 diabetic, the staff at Riverside has consistently been considerate of my dietary needs. In my opinion, this establishment deserves the title of the #1 breakfast spot in St. Louis. Their French fold omelets, loaded with cheese, meats, and veggies, surpass the taste of other breakfast places in the area. The slinger they serve is the best in town, and their affordable burgers during lunch are a reliable choice. Specials are also worth trying, as they are cooked with pride and stand out. Every order at Riverside is met with hard work and a smile from the Riverside Diner Family. There's truly no other breakfast spot like them in St. Louis. That's all I wanted to share.

Solid south side breakfast diner. Off the beaten path....if you know (you know). The service is prompt & pleasant. Plenty enough seating and the place is clean. I usually order takeaway breakfast. The coffee is good & hot, veggie egg white omelette with spinach added does the job. Pancake was a bit doughy for my taste but fluffy. The biscuits & gravy was a win for my dining companion. ~Christy Recommended

Two visits in, Riverside Diner is now my favorite greasy spoon in St. Louis. It's tucked away on an unlikely street in Carondelet. The interior is cozy and welcoming, and the service is great. The patty melt was insanely good - hamburger patty with thousand island, delicious grilled onions and pickle and somehow only $6.99 in 2023?! The corned beef hash was also fantastic the first time I went. I am not a gravy aficionado, so I can't comment on how that stacks up to other places. We will be back! Don't get there too late or you might need to wait for a table.
